Bikini Bottom Bus – Cartoon Transport Vehicle for Create Mod

Not every Create mod vehicle needs to look industrial or realistic. Sometimes the best builds are the ones that instantly feel familiar and nostalgic. This Bikini Bottom Bus schematic brings the famous underwater city transport vehicle from SpongeBob SquarePants into Minecraft as a fully movable Create mod contraption.

Inspired by the classic red cartoon bus seen throughout the series, this build is designed for underwater cities, roleplay servers, and SpongeBob-themed projects. The vehicle keeps its recognizable rounded shape and playful proportions while secretly using hidden Create mechanics underneath the body.

Built for Underwater Cities

This schematic was specifically created for players building cartoon-style environments, underwater roads, or complete Bikini Bottom recreations. Instead of focusing on realism, the design emphasizes color, shape, and recognizable visual identity.

The bus works especially well in:

How i use it in my Create World

One of the most unusual and imaginative transportation routes in my Minecraft Create Survival world is the Bikini Bottom Bus Line. Inspired by the famous underwater city from SpongeBob SquarePants, this unique route is intended to connect my main city with a future underwater settlement located deep beneath the ocean.


The journey begins at the city's central railway station, where the bus makes one of its regular stops. From there, it follows a specially designed road that gradually leads away from the urban area and toward the coastline. Unlike any other route in my world, however, this road does not end at the water's edge. Instead, it continues directly into the ocean, allowing the bus to descend beneath the surface and travel toward the planned underwater destination.

Although the concept is already in place, the Bikini Bottom project is still in the early stages of development. The underwater city itself has not yet been fully constructed, and many of the planned buildings, streets, and landmarks remain only ideas for future construction. As a result, the bus currently travels to a destination that is still largely under development.

At the moment, the only significant structure that exists beneath the ocean is a partially completed turning platform. This area serves as the temporary end of the route and allows the Create bus to safely reverse direction before beginning its return journey back to the city. While simple in appearance, the turning platform is currently an essential piece of infrastructure, as it provides the bus with a functional endpoint until the rest of Bikini Bottom can be built.

Despite the limited construction progress, the bus line already serves an important role in the world. It represents the first connection between the surface and the future underwater district. More importantly, it symbolizes the ambitious plans for expansion that continue to shape the development of the world. Even though passengers currently have very little to see at the end of the route, the bus offers a glimpse into what may eventually become one of the most unique locations in the entire map.

The route itself is one of the most visually distinctive transportation projects in the world. Watching a bus leave the busy city streets, travel toward the coast, and then disappear beneath the waves creates an experience unlike any other transportation service. The transition from land to sea helps emphasize the creative nature of the project and highlights the flexibility of Create's transportation systems.

For now, the Bikini Bottom Bus Line functions more as a preview of future development than as a fully operational transit route. The underwater destination may still consist of little more than a half-finished turning area, but the existence of the route demonstrates that the project is already underway. Each journey made by the bus represents another step toward the eventual completion of a thriving underwater community.

Until the city of Bikini Bottom is fully constructed, the bus will continue its trips between the main station and the ocean floor, carrying the promise of future expansion. While its destination may currently be unfinished, the route remains one of the most ambitious and imaginative transportation projects in my Minecraft Create Survival world, offering a direct connection to a place that exists today only as the beginning of a much larger vision.

The bus uses several Create-related decorative and movement systems. For correct functionality and appearance, the following setup is recommended:

  • Minecraft Java Edition: 1.20.1+
  • Create Mod: 6.0.6+
  • Create: Steam 'n' Rails: 1.6.13+
  • Create: Copycats+: 3.0.2+
  • Create Deco: 2.0.3+

Using outdated versions may result in missing decorative blocks, incorrect textures, or movement issues with the contraption system.

Movement & In-Game Usage

Although the vehicle is intentionally cartoon-like, it still behaves like a functional Create contraption. This allows the bus to travel through underwater streets while remaining visually immersive.

The bus can be used as:

  • A moving city transport vehicle
  • A decorative animation for roleplay worlds
  • A background vehicle for underwater streets
  • A functional Create rail contraption

Basic setup process:

  • Install hidden rails below the road or seabed
  • Place the bus schematic above the rail path

Once active, the vehicle smoothly follows the hidden track route and recreates the look of the Bikini Bottom public transport system.
